Crime
Basic facts about Crime
Generally the police deals with criminal complaints. After the investigation is completed the case is then passed onto the Crown Prosecution Service for them to decide whether or not to take the case to court. When a suspect is taken to police station and he or she is interviewed by the police under caution. It is always advisable to our potential client who involved in a criminal investigation to be represented by a solicitor or accredited police station representative who is trained to advise and make sure the police conduct is fair.
If Crown Prosecution Service decides the charge the defendant it may go to court and if the defendant denies the charge the burden of proving the case rests with the Crown Prosecution Service who must satisfy the Magistrates or jury that they are sure of the defendant’s guilt.
